Junaid Khan from Call Band ties the knot
This news was well kept secret from the media by Junaid Khan and his band mates as it is more of a personal matter. However, having facebook always ruins the surprise. We went on Junaid’s facebook and saw all the well wishers posting comments on his wall regarding the marriage. We believe the wedding is tonight in Lahore, Pakistan. The question in circulation is that to whom is he getting married. So lets wait for the curtains to rise. As Madame de Rieux puts marriage in her words, “Marriage is a lottery in which men stake their liberty andwomen their happiness”. We wish him and
his better half to be, a very happy married life!
We will update you guys on the pictures and

Jobless claims rise unexpectedly in Britain
The number of people unemployed in Britain showed a surprising rise in August, official data showed on Wednesday, pointing to even tougher times once government budget cuts begin in earnest. The so-called claimant count of people registered for unemployment benefit rose by 2,300 last month to reach 1.47 million — the first rise since January, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said in a statement. Economists had forecast a fall of 5,000, according to a poll by Dow Jones Newswires. “The labour market data are both disappointing and worrying overall, fuelling fears that the improvement in the labour market is coming to an end as companies’ fears mount over the strength and sustainability of the upturn,” said economist Howard Archer at the |
A money wallet
Things are often not what they seem, and the money wallert is a clear example. Designed to resemble a pile of $ 100 bills held together by a rubber band, the money wallet becomes awfully tempting to thieves, so do not think it’s a good idea to use it to protect your savings

A house completely covered with corks
Check out this house covered with wine corks. There must be hundreds of thousands of corks on the walls. Unfortunately, I could not find any information on this project, so can not yet say whether it is a tribute to wine, or just some kind of cheap insulation. Whatever the case, it is obvious that the owner has nerves of steel so as to position each cork by hand.

I bet you’re wondering “What is poutine?”. Many people outside Canada have not even heard of this dish, and eat only in the north of that country. Poutine is a dish of fries, cheese curds and a mysterious brown sauce. Some say it sounds disgusting, but the truth would be interesting to try.Check Out: Shahrukh Khan and Gauri Khan shoot for D’decor furnishing brand

Smoking raises depression risk
Teenage smokers who use cigarettes as mood enhancers are at a higher risk of depressive symptoms than non- smokers. It is a general notion that depressed people smoke to feel better and gradually cope up, BBC radio reported. To study the association between smoking habits and depression, researchers followed 662 Canadian high school teenagers (grades 7 to 11) who completed 20 questionnaires about their use of cigarettes to affect their mood for five years. The participants were divided into three groups non smokers; smokers who did not use cigarettes to self-medicate, improve mood or physical state; and smokers who used cigarettes to self-medicate. Depressive symptoms were measured using a scale that asked how often participants felt too tired to do things; had trouble going to sleep or staying asleep; felt unhappy, sad, or depressed; felt hopeless about the future; felt nervous or tense; and worried too much about things. It was found that instead of lifting their mood, smoking raised symptoms of |
Omega-3 fatty acids don’t prevent heart problems

Amazon goes after Apple’s iPad in new Kindle ad
Amazon.com Inc. is rolling up its sleeves in its fight to convince consumers that its Kindle electronic reader is better than competing devices such as Apple’s iPad, unveiling more aggressive advertising that is accentuating a growing rivalry. In a Kindle commercial aired on TV and uploaded Monday to Amazon’s Kindle channel on YouTube, the online retailer shows a man and a woman lounging beside a pool in the sun. The man, dressed in a white T-shirt and gray shorts, looks vexedly at a thin, dark, unlabeled tablet device — presumably an iPad — while trying to shield its shiny screen from the sun. The man asks the woman, who is clad in a black bikini and sunglasses and reading on a Kindle, how she’s able to read in such bright sunlight. Presumably his tablet has an LCD screen, which is tougher to read in the sun than an e-ink screen like that on Amazon’s e-reader. Smiling, the woman answers, “It’s a Kindle — $139. I actually paid more for these sunglasses.” Amazon sells a $139 a version of the device that can wirelessly download books over Wi-Fi; a version with 3G and Wi-Fi costs $189. Still smiling, she returns to her reading, while the man looks somewhat dejectedly at his tablet device. The commercial marks a tactical change for Amazon, whose earlier Kindle commercials often featured cheerful indie tunes and stop-motion camera work, with |
