Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp come together in the much anticipated action film The Tourist.
The movie, directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, is about an American tourist Frank (Johnny Depp) travels to Italy to heal his broken heart. On his journey, he meets Elise (Angelina Jolie), an extraordinary woman (deliberately) crossing paths with him.
As any action flick, the mysterious sequence of events pushes the two together that gives an illusion of Jolie's Mr and Mrs Smith meets the Original Sin.
Also starring Paul Bettany and Timothy Dalton, the movie is based on Author Patricia Cornell's bestselling crime novels with the female protagonist Kay Scarpetta.
According to reports, the author's first choice to play the middle-aged, petite and blonde Scarpetta was Jodie Foster - who turned down the role. When Jolie accepted the same, there were apprehensions as to whether Hollywood's most glamourous actress could fulfill the character requirements.
Jolie and Johnny Depp shot for the film predominantly in Italy and France, all through the summer.
The official trailer (as seen below) for this movie that is slated for a December release, has recently been released.
