AR Rahman excited about UK release of 127 Hours

Pics:Happy Birthday Rahman!

It is a film that's already got AR Rahman a Golden Globe nomination, and with the same team of Slumdog coming together, expectations are high. As Danny Boyle's 127 Hours releases in the UK, AR Rahman is all excited.

Are you ready for 127 Hours of AR Rahman? Most would say yes, even after his CWG anthem was less than successful.

Yes, India's Mozart is back with a score that's already got the critics humming for Danny Boyle's, first film after Slumdog Millionaire - 127 Hours.

After being screened in select American cities, the film hits English theatres this week. And since this is the team that gave the world Jai Ho, encores are expected, even though the tone is vastly different.

As Rahman continues to sweep across the international scene, one of the film's tracks includes If I Rise that is his collaboration with pop-singer Dido. The song, needless to say, is swiftly scaling the music charts.

The film has already garnered plenty of praises from mountain climber Aron Ralston, on whose life 127 Hours is based. Rahman has already secured himself a Golden Globe nomination for the Best Original Score in the motion picture category. He will be competing with the composers for films like Alice in WonderlandThe Social NetworkThe King's Speech and Inception.
