Actor Vivek Shauq passes away





Actor Vivek Shauq, best known for his role in comedy serial Flop Show, today died after suffering a heart attack in neighbouring Thane district, family members said.

Vivek (47) was admitted to the Jupiter hospital in Thane, after he complained of cardiac arrest, where he breathed his last, they said.

"We are obviously going to miss him. He was very down to earth and helpful person," the actor's sister Namrata told PTI here.

Vivek, who started his acting career with theatre and television, is survived by wife - Sarabjit, two daughters - Sadika and Mudita - and son Sunist.

The 47-year-old actor had acted in about 60 films - both Hindi and Punjabi - including Gadar - Ek Prem KathaAitraaz and 36 China Town among others.

He also worked in popular television shows Flop ShowUlta Pulta and Full tension.
