Ali Zafar: I want to record Bush & Osama's conversation

TERE BIN LADEN, which is a funny take on terrorist Osama Bin Laden has managed to create a certain amount of buzz and curiosity with its hilarious promos and songs. Pakistan singer Zafar Ali is making his debut as a leading man.


When asked what Ali would do if he gets the chance to actually meet Osama, he says, "I would try to be normal. It depends on the circumstances under which we meet. Other than that, I would really want to record a direct conversation between Osama and George Bush. That too, without the media. That will be something very interesting."

Asking him to choose between acting and singing Ali retorts, "It is very hard to choose. If I let go anyone of the two - acting and singing, I'd feel as if I am letting a part of me go away from me."

Ali is getting some great feedback not only from people in India, but from Pakistan as well. "Response in Pakistan has so far been tremendous. The people are very eager to see our film which is a hilarious take on a serious topic. Humour is appreciated a lot in Pakistan. I think people from Pakistan will love the film too," he said excitedly.

Directed by Abhishek Sharma, TERE BIN LADEN is all set to release on July 16.

Sanjay Dutt's film premiere cancelled

Sanjay Dutt's upcoming film LAMHAA is facing the heat of the political turmoil in the valley. Now, according to latest reports the premiere of the film which was scheduled to be held in Srinagar has been cancelled. According to its producer Bunty Walia, the state government cancelled the premiere since the valley is going through a political turmoil at the moment. CHECK OUT: LAMHAA Movie Preview The cancellation of LAMHAA's premiere has come as a rude shock to its makers. Both Bunty Walia and director Rahul Dholakia are upset about this latest development. Now, the film's premiere will be held in Mumbai. The film is all set to release on the 16th of this month.

Imran Khan to wed in January 2011

Imran Khan's latest film I HATE LUV STORYS might have received a mixed response, but his personal life is getting sorted by the day. After getting engaged with his childhood sweetheart Avantika Malik in January this year, the star has finally decided on the date of his wedding. Many feel that Imran thinks January is lucky for him and that's why he chose to exchange the engagement rings in the same month and is now planning to get married in the same month too. Madhavan: I am missing my son

Guess which industry father is missing his son the most today? It is Madhavan who is currently on a cruise shooting for his Tamil film with Kamal Hassan and Trisha. A laugh-filled romantic musical which is being directed by KS Ravi Kumar of DASHAVATARAM fame, the film has its major part set on a cruise which requires Madhavan to be out of country for more than a month. The journey which started in the middle of June is expected to conclude only in end of July, something which isn't quite a pleasing thought for Madhavan. "I am really missing my son", says Madhavan, "He would be turning five years old in the month of August and there are weeks at stretch when I don't see my son. It isn't funny after a while." In the business for close to 15 years now, Madhavan regrets the fact that he doesn't get to stay at home much. "I guess I need to take a break for myself. I should step back and think about how I should be planning my future vacations", says Madhavan who was seen in 3 IDIOTS (a spill over from 2009) and TEEN PATTI this year, "My son is growing up much faster than I would have imagined. A few weeks back when I met him after an extensive shooting schedule that kept me out, he really surprised me with his antics." Elaborating on the change that he saw in his son, Madhavan smiles, "I immediately commented you were earlier a kid but now you have grown up to be a young boy. It was quite an emotional moment for me when I saw him making demands, urging me to stay back, expressing his point of view and announcing loud and clear through his behaviour that he has a mind of his own. I guess there is so much that I have missed in his growing up years." Madhavan has an immediate remedy thought out for this. "I am quite sure that once I return from this cruise and finish remainder of this film, I am not going to shoot for at least 6-7 months. Bahaut ho gaya, I need to be spending more time with my son. That's the least which he deserves from me."
