Rahat Fateh charged under Customs Act
Pakistani Singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has been charged under Customs Act for carrying undeclared foreign currency. His manager Maroof also faces similar charges.According to Indian TV that the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) will now confiscate the currency and the issue will go to a quasi-judicial authority headed by a Customs officer.
The authority will be go through charges and will adjudicate what is the penalty and the quantum. After paying penalty, Rahat and Mahroof can leave.
