What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Perfect happiness is contentment within you, which comes from self-acceptance. If you’re truly able to be at one with your soul, able to forgive others and come to the realisation that love actually is the answer, that for me is perfect happiness.
What is your greatest fear?
Losing the people I love.
What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
I wish I could sometimes hold back instead of being so impulsive!

People who lie… I hate liars. They ruin their image and

Pakistani musician turned actor Ali Zafar has saved the day by coming to Bollywood siren Katrina Kaif’s rescue during shooting of romantic comedy Meray Brother Ki Dulhan.
Talking to Express 24/7, Ali said he jumped in to save Katrina when her hair got stuck in a pedestal fan on the set. His heroic act prevented Katrina from losing her hair.
Ali’s heroics have redeemed his first meeting with Katrina, where he failed to recognise her. But Katrina reportedly reacted politely and introduced herself to Ali.
It also seems Ali has won over Indian hearts after he gifted a stranger his lucky guitar.

katrina kaif ...I was a college bully
I was a college bully. When I was 16 I had no plans to be an actress. I had finished school and had just enroled for engineering in England. I must confess the studies were tough.
I would bully the other students into giving me their homework. Life was fun, carefree and different. Of course in between studies I dreamt of being a model. Acting was not on the radar. I always visualised myself being a model though. I loved to see fashion icons walk the ramp. And

Apple’s earnings to showcase one-two punch
Apple Inc should affirm that its six-month-old iPad tablet computer is selling well despite a shaky consumer market, while the iPhone continues to fend off a strong challenge from rival Google Inc. Analysts expect fourth-quarter earnings to showcase Apple’s powerful one-two punch of the iPhone and the iPad, although some still question whether, with a plethora of rival products set to hit store shelves, Wall Street can justify Apple’s stratospheric valuation. The shares of the second largest corporation in the S&P 500 jumped more than 4 percent on Friday as anticipation mounted ahead of Monday’s report. As has been the case for many quarters, iPhone growth will be the main driver, even as anticipation builds over an iPhone early next year tailor-made for the network of top mobile carrier Verizon Wireless Inc — a move that would instantly boost Apple’s consumer reach in the United States. Apple’s shares stand at a record high after breaking through the $300 mark for the first time this week. The company has so far proved resilient in the face of weak U.S. consumer spending. At the same time, gross margins should get a boost from falling component costs. Although there is little doubt September quarter numbers will be strong, investors have come to demand an out-sized performance, so the bar is raised every three months. Analysts say a big upside surprise may be tougher to |

Sleeping with light on causes weight gain
Too much light at night appears to lead to weight gain, according to a report, based on studies of mice that provide fresh clues on obesity. The researchers found that mice exposed to a dim light at night over eight weeks had a weight gain that was about 50 percent more than other mice that lived in a standard light-dark cycle. “Although there were no differences in activity levels or daily consumption of food, the mice that lived with light at night were getting fatter than the others,” said Laura Fonken, lead author of the study and a researcher at Ohio State University. The study, which appears in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences journal, said the weight gain could be a sign that light has an effect on the metabolism. “Something about light at night was making the mice in our |

Used condoms clog Delhi CWG athletes' village toilets
NEW DELHI: Thousands of used condoms have reportedly clogged the drains of the Delhi Commonwealth Games accommodation towers at the athletes' village after being flushed down toilets by competitors.
According to the Daily Telegraph, the condoms were discovered when plumbers were called in to clear the toilets after athletes complained about the blockages.
Condoms, being supplied free at the Games Village, are not biodegradable waste because of which they can choke toilets.
A large condom vending machine has been installed at the

Microsoft to spend one billion dollars advertising Kinect and Windows Phone 7
Microsoft's serious about making Kinect a success. A $500 million kind of serious. That's the latest report, courtesy of the New York Post, on the change Steve Ballmer and company intend to drop to make sure that every living and breathing creature in the US knows about the controller-free controller this holiday season. That mirrors earlier analyst estimates placing the Windows Phone 7 marketing budget at a similar figure, which in total would amount to a cool billion dollars in advertising expenditure. We already know Microsoft's scooped the Old Spice Guy for WP7, but Kinect is getting the extra special carpet bombing treatment with Burger King, Pepsi, YouTube, Nickelodeon, Disney, Glee, Dancing with the Stars, People and InStyle magazines, and even Times Square all having a role to play in

Dell trots out eight new LED-backlit LCD monitors, promises 21.5-inch multitouch IPS model
We had a hunch that Dell's latest quartet of LCD monitors would be making the short trip from Asia to America in the not-too-distant future, and sure enough, Dell's delivering the four we saw in September (along with four more) to US consumers today. Kicking things off is a new trio in the Studio line, which is available in 22-inch (ST2220), 23-inch (ST2320) and 24-inch (ST2420) sizes. The whole lot boasts a 1920 x 1080 screen resolution, five millisecond response time, a 16:9 aspect ratio, ST panels (read: not IPS) and touch controls on the bottom right panel. You'll also find VGA and DVI ports, with the ST2220L ($199.99) / ST2320L ($229.99) / ST2321L versions adding HDMI. Moving on, there's a new pair of budget-friendly 20-inchers, the IN2020 and IN2020M. These guys tout a 1600 x 900 screen resolution, five millisecond response time and a VGA socket; the latter steps it up with the addition of

Sony Ericsson brings 16 megapixel Cyber-shot S006 cellphone to KDDI
KDDI may have done its best to bury it amongst the few dozen other phones it announced today (including that eye-catching X-RAY clamshell), but we're not about to let the first phone using Sony's new 16.4 megapixel CMOS sensor slip by. That honor naturally goes to Sony Ericsson itself, which has stuffed the sensor into the otherwise ordinary looking Cyber-shot S006 cellphone. In addition to all those megapxiels, you'll also get ISO settings up to ISO 12800, and the rest of the camera's specs aren't too shabby either, including a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a 3.3-inch screen (said to be VGA, though we're assuming it's actually HVGA or WVGA), and built-in WiFi, Bluetooth and

Puma Phone review
So it's true, we're living in an age where people would shamelessly line up for certain electronics and luxurious fashion items. Why? Just because they can, and for that reason, some swanky outlets -- namely Christian Dior, Prada, Giorgio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, and Versace -- have attempted to exploit our gadget lust by offering self-branded phones at extortionate prices. In the eyes of every-day consumers, there's really not much appeal in these soulless devices except for the logo and some extra bling, but

Microsoft Kinect will work just fine for seated gameplay
One of the major points of confusion related to Microsoft's new controller-less Xbox 360 Kinect gaming system is the perceived lack of seated gameplay, largely driven by those early demos that required a standing player. At the time, Kinect's sensor was keying off the base node located at the bottom of the spine to create its skeletal models. As of a few months ago, Microsoft updated its software libraries to key off the base of the neck, thus avoiding any ambiguity caused by the player's motionless knees or feet obscuring a spine stuffed into the opaque comfort of the living room sofa. At least that's what Blitz Games Studios co-founder and CTO Andrew Oliver told Eurogamer. Unfortunately, the motion-sensing changes for

HyperMac will stop selling MacBook charging cables on November 2 -- Apple wins, you lose
Uh oh, HyperMac just announced that it will cease the sale of MacBook charging cables and car chargers -- on November 2nd at 00:00 US Pacific Time, they'll be gone for good. While the HyperMac batteries will be sold, you won't be able to charge your MagSafe-equipped MacBook without the cable, so what's the point? This, obviously, is the direct result of the patent-infringement lawsuit Apple filed over Sanho's unlicensed use of Apple's MagSafe power connector. And while it may be a victory for Apple legal, it's an unsettling blow to consumers like Engadget editors who need the extra juice to augment the life of Apple's non-removeable MacBook, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro batteries. Sony said to be outsourcing production of high-end LCDs, Foxconn and Wistron getting the nod
Potentially bad news this morning for fans of high-end Sony HDTVs. The company, still struggling with huge losses and desperate to find reasonable pricing for its exported TVs amid historically high values for the yen, is looking to outsource not only assembly but full panel production on many of its LCDs. According to the report, up to 80 percent of Sony's 2011 sets will be manufactured externally, with between 40 and 50 percent of those getting panels manufactured by Foxconn-affiliate CMI. Foxconn itself is said to be producing 18 million sets, while Wistron, the other major partner here, will stamp out Sony's Google TV. If true this will be the first time Sony has outsourced full production of its higher-end models to Taiwan. None of this has been confirmed by any of these players, so apply salt to taste, but the

John: The Humane Touch That Saved The Macho
John Abraham, the macho hunk of Bollywood, may have a tough exterior, but deep down within, he does own a soft heart. This fact has literally saved the B town hunk from spending a fortnight behind bars in Mumbai, as he was granted bail yesterday the 14th of October, after he had been sentenced to a 15 day simple imprisonment by a magistrate for an accident that he was involved in, in April 2006. Reportedly, John Abraham had accidently knocked down a cyclist while riding his bike, the Yamaha Hayabusa, during the night, as he was on his way back home from an event that he had attended earlier. However, as he reached the CD Marg and Khar 17th Road crossing, he banged accidently on to the cyclist, and that in turn knocked down another passerby on the streets, and John was flung to a wall on the side of the street. Now, not one to be a selfish being, John immediately showed what a great human being he was. He got both the injured fellows admitted to the Bhabha Hospital nearby, and himself got admitted to the Lilawati hospital. Now, as this was a road accident, a case had been registered against the Bollywood honcho, and the decision had been pronounced yesterday. It was |
