The 22nd birthday of Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto was held under the aegis of the People’s Labour Bureau Lahore (PLB) in the House Building Finance Cooperation (CBA) union office on Friday.
The ceremony was chaired by PLB Punjab President Ethsham- ul-Hassan.
Information Secretary Muhammad Saleem Mughal, Additional Secretary Zahid Chaudhry, General Secretary Lahore Muhammad Ashraf Khan and leaders of trade unions also participated in the ceremony.
A cake was cut to celebrate the birthday and it was pledged that labourers would continue their struggle under the dynamic leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani who were working in line with the philosophy of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
The PLB information secretary said the PPP had made numerous sacrifices for the
restoration of democracy and the constitution.
He said that those dreaming of derailing democracy and involved in drawing-room politics should know that the PPP had come to power with the support of the masses.
Later, they prayed for long life of President Asif Ali Zardari, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and a better future of the country. |
