 The rates of fruits, especially banana and apple fell down as their demand has been considerably decreased in the local markets after their sky rocketing rates in the Holy month of Ramadan.
Apple and Banana were sold in the open market at very exorbitant prices are now available at two times less rates in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
Moreover, the two fruits can be seen in abundance in the markets which were almost rare during Ramadan.
Similarly, the rates of dates and pickle have also decreased in the market.
Shopkeepers said that there are some edibles which are
restricted to Ramadan and most of the people do not use them during the other months and that was why their rates sharply fall due to their less demand.
On the other hand, the rates of vegetables are still up and there have been no decrease in their rates as the communication infrastructure is still damaged due to recent floods in the country. |
