Katrina Kaif, the top Bollywood star is well known for her stark belief in visiting some of the holy places in India. Whenever the actress has had the time, and whenever she's had to seek blessings from the Almighty, she's never hesitated to visit the nearest place of worship, whether it is a Hindu, Muslim, Sikh or Christian place of worship.

Even though she's spent a major part of her growing up years in England, she's never shied away from embracing and paying her respects to the various religious sects of India.

Thus, earlier reports about her visit to the Golden temple, the Ajmer Sharif Dargah, or even a visit to Shirdi, where the religious pious Sai Baba temple is considered to be extremely sacred by followers, had already made Kat quite a star in the eyes of most religious heads.

Now, there are

reports pouring in that the actress had recently gone for a religious visit to take a dip in the Ganges that, too, in one of the most religious places of the Hindus, Haridwar, which means- (Gateway to God).

This visit was kept under wraps, just to avoid fan frenzy in the area. Reports were that she had gone to the holy town in a plain and simple salwar Kameez, with her head covered with a dupatta.

Even though no one recognized her, the local purohit, who performed the puja, or the sacred prayers, told her to visit the holy place again. Well, with most B-town stars going religious, Kat is not so far away from being one of the most popular ones amongst them!
