Qadri appears before ATC

Malik Mumtaz Qadri, accused of Salman Taseer’s assassination, was brought before the Anti-Terrorist Court (ATC) in Islamabad on Thursday as the ATC was moved to the federal capital for security reasons.
Chief Commissioner Islamabad issued notification for moving the ATC to the sector G-7 of the federal capital.
Earlier, Judicial Magistrate on Wednesday had handed over Mumtaz Qadri to police for one-day transit remand.
Mumataz Qadri was brought before court of Magistrate Malik Naeem Shaukat.

Although the police requested to court for his 5-day remand, he was sent in this regard only for a single day. A large number of people were present in the court
