Southee smashes Pakistan in 1st ODI


Pakistan lost first one-day international at the hands of New Zealand on Saturday, giving the latter 1-0 lead in the 6-matches series.
Kiwi bowler Tim Southee smashed the batting line of Pakistan after the Guest team chose to bat at Westpac Stadium in Wellington.
The Green Shirts succumbed to the beautiful display of the bowling from the Kiwis and fell in 38th over at the score 124. Misbahul Haq scored half-century whereas Captain Shahid Afridi was sent back to the pavilion when he was at
15.
Veteran Younus Khan managed to add only 24 runs to the total.
Tim Sounthee sent 5 of Pakistani squad to the pavilion.
In the second innings, the New Zealand easily achieved the target in the 18th over of the match, losing only one of its wickets. JD Ryder shined with 55 runs.
