Couple’s attempt to break the world record for the 32 hours long world’s longest kiss

if you are looking for inspiration ahead of Valentines Day – look to Thailand where 14 couples have been trying to break the world record for the longest kiss.    The contestants are taking part in the kissing marathon in Pattaya in the hope of breaking the current 32-hour world record.

The love birds were each given a space of one square metre space in which they have to spend over a day together without leaving except to go to the toilet.  The couples have to lock lips at all times and if the lips part, they will be disqualified from the competition.
Felix Werth, 32, one of the contestants said: “I just participate for fun and I’m looking forward to kissing for a long time.”  Fellow kisser Rungnapa Rojchananawin added: “I want to try and see if I can break the record or not. It’s an experience which I don’t care if I will win or not.”
The winner will receive a diamond ring worth £1,000 and a £2,000 cash prize.
Many participants took part to show their love and to mark this year’s Valentine’s Day, although kissing in public is quite unusual in Thailand.
The previous longest-kiss world record of 32 hours, 7 minutes and 14 seconds was in Germany in 2009.
During the event, the couples are not allowed to sit, sleep or leave the venue.
They also have to continue kissing while using the toilet, with staff accompanying them to make sure they do.
They can take water and food through straws only while their lips are locked.
One woman participating with her boyfriend fainted after just 34 minutes. Some others quit after a few hours
