After months of silence, Elin Nordegren finally spoke about her broken relationship with ex-husband Tiger Woods. Nordegren sat down with People for over
19 hours in an extended interview that was released Wednesday.Amongst the highlights:
“I’ve been through hell,” It’s hard to think you have this life, and then all of a sudden — was it a lie? You’re struggling because it wasn’t real. But I survived. It was hard, but it didn’t kill me.”“There was never any violence inside or outside our home,” she said. “The speculation … is just truly ridiculous.”“…money can’t buy happiness or put my family back together”“I’m so embarrassed that I never suspected — not a one,” she added. “For the past 3½ years, when all this was going on, I was home a lot more with pregnancies, then the children and my school.”
Good Morning America sat down with People editor Peter Castro to get insight about the interview. According to Elin, it is the first and last interview she will ever give regarding the matter.
