Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Broken Horses to go on floors on September 13

Vidhu Vinod Chopra's ambitious project Broken Horses is all set to go on floors soon. A huge set is being put up in a desert town bordering Mexico and the US. Broken Horses is an English film and will have a western cast and crew. Shooting of the film is expected to start from September 13.

Vidhu Vinod Chopra has also managed to rope in Hollywood biggie Barrie Osborne as the executive producer. Osborne has been associated with some really huge Hollywood blockbusters such as Face Off, The Matrix, Apocalypse Now and The Lord Of The Rings series of films. Osborne, who has been living in New Zealand for the last 10 years, has only recently moved back to LA for Chopra's new film. The duo has also set up a production office on The Lot, which earlier housed the Warner Hollywood Studios

Besides Osborne, Fred Roos has also been brought on board as executive producer to put the project and cast together. Roos has been the producer of cult films such as The Godfather Part II and III, The Outsiders and Lost In Translation. He has worked with Osborne on Apocalypse Now as well.

Says Vidhu Vinod Chopra of this association, "Barrie helps us get the scale of the film right. As for Fred, I met him a few years ago as a student on the sets of The Godfather. He was an inspiration then and is an inspiration even now."
