Veena Malik ends her engagement

LAHORE: Veena Malik is back in the news but this time for personal reasons. The model-turned-actor announced her breakup with her fiance, Faisal Akbar Khan on Thursday.

Many link this break up to Malik’s friendship with Ashmit Patel but the actor has a different story to tell. While talking to The Express Tribune she said, “I called up Faisal and told him that I can no longer marry him. I told him that I am breaking the engagement as I have to focus on my career. We couldn’t develop an understanding and there was no use in dragging this engagement any further.”

Ranbir Shows Katrina A Good Time

Ranbir Kapoor was spotted driving around in his red-coloured two seater Audi R8 with 'close-friend' Katrina Kaif enjoying the drive right next to him.

Documents seized during I-T raids reveal actress owns nine flats in the city

Income Tax (I-T) raids on Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra's properties have revealed that the former Miss World has invested most of her earnings in real estate and owns nine flats in the city.

I-T officials had, on Monday, raided 12 premises of actresses Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif. They sealed 12 lockers and seized documents related to their various properties in the city.

Sources say that Priyanka had bought five flats on the sixth floor of Raj Classic building at Yari Road

According to I-T sources, Chopra bought five flats on the sixth floor of Raj Classic building at Yari Road, Versova, where she lives.

She has combined three flats into one large apartment, which has almost all the modern amenities.

Hrithik Roshan has sponsored the surgical operations of 10 children of the Seven Hills Medical Foundation (SHMF)'s paediatric programme in the Mumbai suburb of Andheri. 

Dr Bhujang Pai, Head of Radiology SHMF, says, "We have started a Save A Heart programme as a public initiative. We do lots of free open-heart surgeries. 

We thought of getting someone who is very fond of kids and who kids are fond of as the face of our programme. 

I know Hrithik and his family. We are family friends. I asked his parents if we could get him involved in this programme in any way."

Dr Pai continues, "Hrithik not only agreed to be the face of the SHMF scheme for children, but also donated R 15 lakh for the heart operation and post-operative care of

AR Rahman honoured with Crystal Award

A day after he won two Academy award nominations, Indian musician A R Rahman was honoured with the Crystal Award at the World Economic Forum.
Rahman received the award at the opening ceremony of the Forum`s annual meet here, attended by 2500 global leaders from business, government, art, culture and religion.
Rahman, 44, clad in an embroidered black kurta, received the award which is given annually by the WEF to outstanding artistes who use their talent for social and charitable work.
