Qadri declared main accused in Taseer murder case
The police on Monday declared Mumtaz Hussain Qadri main accused of Salman Taseer’s murder in a Challan submitted to the Anti-Terrorist Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi.
Earlier, the case has been transferred to the ATC No. 2 in Adiyala Jail here.
The case of former Governor Punjab’s assassination was heard by Ikhlaq Ahmed. The Challan also included the confession statement of the accused.
A stern action against the accused has been demanded in the Challan.

Microsoft publishes windows 7 and Office 2010 in Urdu
Microsoft, under its project Language Interface Pack (LIP) has published Urdu version of their most wanted operating system Windows 7 and office 2010.
This is the first time that any Microsoft operating system has been translated and released (all versions) in Urdu. Previously, Microsoft has released 64-bit Urdu version of Windows XP, Office 2003, Office 2007 and Windows Vista, said a press release issued here on Monday.

Toyota sold 8.4M vehicles in 2010 to hold top spot
Toyota sold 8.42 million vehicles globally in 2010, narrowly remaining the world’s top automaker ahead of General Motors amid recall woes in the key North American market.
GM also released a new tally Monday for its global 2010 sales, at 8.39 million vehicles, slightly fewer than Toyota’s number, but a dramatic 12 percent rebound from 7.48 million vehicles the year before.
The race between the two giants appears to be getting close, with the chance the tables could be turned, seeing GM once again rising to the top.

MANCHESTER: A rarely-seen manuscript of one of the world's most important copies of the Holy Quran is to be published online.
The hand-written holy book, estimated to be around 500 years old, is so precious and fragile scholars have been unable to put it on display.
Now experts at the University of Manchester's John Rylands Library are using digital technology to photograph each page and publish the book online to enable scholars and students to study it.

ISLAMABAD: A severe earthquake, measuring 6.1 on the Richter-scale, rocked upper parts of the country including federal capital, Geo News reported.
According to the sources, the quake jolted cities including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Mansehra, Abbotabad, Charsadda.

Facebook to unveil financials, raises $1.5 billion

Aamir Khan on Berlinale jury
Bollywood actor-filmmaker Aamir Khan, who is busy amassing accolades for his latest project “Dhobi Ghat”, is on the international jury of the upcoming 61st Berlin International Film Festival.
The 45-year-old is sharing the honour with Iranian filmmaker Jafar Panahi, Australian producer Jan Chapman, German actress Nina Hoss, Canadian filmmaker Guy Maddin and British costume designer Sandy Powell.

Pakistani actress Veena Malik has said there was nothing immoral about her relationship with Bollywood actor Ashmit Patel or any other member of Bigg Boss House.

Anees Bazmee made a last minute decision to shoot an item number with Akshay Kumar and Mallika Sherawat for “Thank You” and had to steal the actress from Indra Kumar who was filming some intricate group shots with her presence for “Double Dhamaal”.
