Israel tested destructive nuke virus before using against Iran

Israel tested the destructive Stuxnet virus in its nuclear facility in Dimona before it was used against Iran’s nuclear facilities, a Sunday report in The New York Times said.
Israel allegedly used centrifuges identical to those in Iran to test out the virus that caused setbacks to Tehran’s nuclear programme, the US newspaper said.
“Israel has spun nuclear centrifuges virtually identical to Iran’s at Natanz, where Iranian scientists are struggling to enrich uranium,” the Times quoted experts saying.

Ban on pillion riding re-imposed

The ban on pillion riding has been re-imposed in Karachi from Sunday night.
The Sindh government has banned pillion riding in the city, notification has been issued.
The decision to ban pillion riding in the metropolis was taken at a meeting of the Sindh home department in view of the worsening law and order situation in Karachi.
Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik said that those who violate the law will be dealt with sternly.
The ban will remain effective for seven days initially.

1,800 MW power added to system in two years

Some 1,800 megawatt electricity has been added to the national power transmission system during the last two years.
According to a Ministry of Water and Power official, power generation had improved by 1,800 MW when the country was facing shortfall of 5,000 megawatt in the summer.
The government has taken several measures to overcome the load-shedding. More electricity would be added to the National Grid System in near future, which would help bridge the gap between demand and supply.

PCB coaching course from January 31

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) level- 1 cricket coaching course will be held from January 31 to February 4 at KRL Cricket Ground, Rawalpindi.
According to a spokesman of PCB, 25 candidates will be selected from Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar and Abbottabad regions to participate in the 5-day course.
The course will be on self-financed basis and fee amounting Rs. 10,000 will be charged from each participant.

New girl in Krrish 3?

Lakshmi Manchu, daughter of Telugu superstar Mohan Babu, is being considered by Rakesh Roshan for Krrish 3, opposite Hrithik, if sources are to be believed.
Sources from the industry confirm that Roshan Sr is in touch with Lakshmi for an important role in the film, which had reportedly been offered to Kangna Ranaut earlier.
If Lakshmi, who has studied theatre from the US, is finalised, she’ll be one of the first Telugu girls to do a big Bollywood project.

Fire engulfed commercial plaza in Blue Area

Fire broke out in third-floor of a commercial plaza, Baverly Center, in the Blue Area Jinnah Avenue here on Sunday night.
Soon after the incident, six fire tenders rushed to the spot and tried to extinguish the blazing fire. police said.  Clothing, garments, electronic, mobile phones shops and private offices are situated in Baverly Center. It is feared that the fire caused losses worth million of rupees. The cause of fire is not yet ascertain.

Yesteyear’s diva Rekha seems to be quite impressed by actress Katrina Kaif’s belly dance.
