Pakistan is one of those countries where most searches made on the Google are about Porn/Sex sites. Millions of sites are available online which offer you these kind of things, and these sites are earning alot. Let me give you some overview about the Porn sites business on the internet.
The statistics are truly staggering. According to compiled numbers from respected news and research organizations, every second $3,075.64 is being spent on pornography. Every second 28,258 internet users are viewing pornography. In that same second 372 internet users are typing adult search terms into search engines. Every 39 minutes a new pornographic video is being created in the U.S.
It’s big business. The pornography industry has larger revenues than
Microsoft, Google, Amazon, eBay, Yahoo, Apple and Netflix combined. 2006 Worldwide Pornography Revenues ballooned to $97.06 billion. 2006 & 2005 U.S. Pornography Industry Revenue Statistics, 2006 Top Adult Search Requests, 2006 Search Engine Request Trends are some of the other statistics revealed here.
Sex business is growing very fast in our society, there are some groups which are involved in this business (as mention by Javed Choudhry’s column few days back). Their only mission is to destroy the youth of Pakistan. Besides these groups there are some people who contribute with their efforts to promote sex in Pakistani culture. Besides film this time our nation moves one step further and start promotion Porn/Sex business online.
As I already mentioned that the Porn sites are doing business in Billions of dollar every year. Some people from Pakistan also involved in it. Recently I discover a site Downit.pk which is selling memberships of different sites, these sites also includes some porn sites in their adult membership section.
One thing here I want to mention that before this most of the people were not able to get membership because of their acceptable mode of payments but this site offer you all the possible easiest way to get membership from Pakistan. Like anyone can make payment from UBL Bank and Telenor’s EasyPaisa service. Other mode of payments are Western Union, Alter Pay, PayPal, MoneyGram and Visa andMaster Credit Cards. (See Screen Shot)
Let me tell you about Downit.pk. It is operated by someone in Pakistan, (I am unable to find out his/her name) but the address mentioned on registration is of Lahore and this site was purchased from a person Named Fawad from Sialkot. (see the image below)
My request is that PTA and FIA Cyber crimes department should take serious action against these people who are responsible of spreading this dirty culture in Pakistan. Also make a special department which will monitor all sites I know its bit hard but possible.
We must stopped this fastest growing adult industry in Pakistan to save the future of our children. I request to all my readers to please give suggestions and comments what we can do to stop this.
