Salman Khan's eye condition delays Ready

Salman Khan`s eye condition delays ReadySalman Khan's eye condition has put Anees Bazmee film on hold

Salman Khan's red eye has put Anees Bazmee's Ready on hold. The film, slated to begin a shoot schedule in Mumbai, has now been pushed to November depending on the actor's eye condition. The filming was to be shot at Film City and Madh Island.

Ready teams Sallu with Asin and has already finished the first schedule in Sri Lanka in July. The movie is about 40 per cent complete. As there was no way the shoot could be held without Khan, it was decided to postpone the shoot.

Request

Says a source, "Salman requested that the filming take place only after his eye is completely cured and rested. He doesn't want to strain it with make-up or harsh lights on the sets." As Bazmee and the star share a great rapport ever since their earlier venture No Entry, the director readily agreed to delay the shoot.

As reported ('Eye-ding something'; Hitlist, October 11), B-Town buzz was that the Khan had gone under the knife to have the bags under his eyes removed. Later it was heard that one of his pet dogs had jumped onto him scratching him near the eye and aggravated the condition.

As anchor of the ongoing Bigg Boss season, Salman has been seen sporting glares ever since the show started. Adds the source, "As he has to shoot for Bigg Boss only on Fridays, it is manageable to hide the red eye with designer shades.

But for Ready he can't be shooting with his chashma due to continuity reasons. Moreover a film schedule would require him to shoot everyday with make-up which could delay the healing process."

What Ready is about....

It is a remake of the 2008 Telugu film of the same name which featured Ram and Genelia DSouza. It was one of the highest grossing Telugu films.

Directed by Srinu Vytla, the film revolves around a man, who in a bid to help a friend, gets the wrong bride kidnapped and ends up falling in love with her. And while the man is ready for anything, convincing the bride's family that he is her Mr Right is no easy task.
