People say: He took the dismal collections of his latest film to heart. But we're putting our money on his indulgence at the late party night at brother-in-law Zayed Khan's, being the culprit Hrithik Roshan was admitted to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital on Sunday afternoon. According to media reports, the actor was rushed to the hospital after he complained of acute chest pain.
Even as the actor was under observation there were rumours attributing the chest pain to the dismal collections of his Friday release Guzaarish. While in industry circles, it was being discussed that the actor's condition was due to too much indulgence the previous night at brother-in-law Zayed Khan's party.
A source says, "Hrithik had lot of expectations from Guzaarish, especially because Kites had also tanked at the BO. But the film didn't even take a decent opening, with barely 40 per cent collections all over. That came as a jolt to Duggu, especially since his last hit was Dhoom 2, which was four years ago.
It is learnt that the actor withdrew into a shell over the weekend. It's possible that the chest pains were related to an anxiety attack."
Also Roshan Jr had been suffering from high fever and over-exhaustion over the last few weeks. A source close to the family says that "It is an after-effect of the antibiotics that he has been taking for his chest congestion.".
Last week, the actor had cancelled all his post release promotions for Guzaarish. He was to travel all over the country but now that's on hold."
On Sunday evening, his father Rakesh Roshan said, "Hrithik didn't get chest pain. He got an allergic attack yesterday afternoon due to the anti-biotic tablet he was taking for his chest congestion and went and admitted himself to the hospital all by himself.
We came to know about it later. In the evening, he returned home with us. Hrithik is fine now." However it is reliably learnt that the ac
tor was kept under observation for 24 hours and was discharged today.
Hrithik says...
"Doctors just confirmed that I experienced an allergic reaction to an antibiotic. My lungs just closed, throat went into spasm... couldn't breathe. Lips became ten times their size. I was rushed to the hospital in time.
Am Under observation and will be discharged late night. But all good, its always good. Was celebrating Guzaarish at home, now celebrating frm here. No difference."
