Hollywood star Mel Gibson will be making his first courtroom appearance later Wednesday to face his former lover, Oksana Grigorieva, over a custody battle over their 12-month-old daughter Lucia.
The actor, who will appear at the Los Angeles Superior Court, will be asked to answer the Russian singer's accusation that he is not fit to look after his child, especially after he allegedly attacked Grigorieva while Lucia was in her arms, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
This is the first time the pair will meet in the courtroom, and Grigorieva has vowed to make her former partner "squirm".
"For the first time, she will see Mel face-to-face, and she knows this is an important event and feels that her presence could make Mel squirm," said a source.
While the singer has claimed she was subjected to verbal and physical abuse at the hands of the 54-year-old "Braveheart" star, Gibson claims she attempted to extort millions of dollars from him in return for potentially damaging recordings she made after their relationship came to an end in April.
