Plane lands on cars in Florida WESLEY CHAPEL: Authorities in Tampa, Florida said a plane piloted by a student has crashed into two cars at a local airpark.

The media reported the student was attempting to take off in the single-engine plane Thursday afternoon when he had problems, landed and then hit two parked cars at Tampa North Aero Park.

Helicopter video showed the plane resting on top of the cars in the parking lot near a
hangar.

No injuries were reported.

Gregory Daryl Johnson, 59, of 5119 Carey Road, Tampa, encountered problems during his second solo flight and skidded off the runway and into the cars at Tampa Aero North Airpark, Pasco Sheriff's Officials said.

The 60-year-old student pilot was on his second solo flight. The pilot tells witnesses a seat cushion got jammed underneath one of his rudder pedals causing the plane to turn sharply. No fire or fuel leaked.
