Hajj scam: Kazmi’s arrest warrants issued

The arrest warrants for former religious minister Hamid Saeed Kazmi was issued, on Thursday, in connection with Hajj corruption case.
The Supreme Court (SC), earlier, had directed the authorities to take action against the former minister and Abdul Qadir Gilani, son of Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani.
Sources close to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) said the agency collected strong evidence of Hamid Saeed Kazmi’s alleged involvement in the Hajj scam and that he had received kickbacks in the Hajj operations.

The FIA, later, raided at Kazmi’s residence in Islamabad but he had managed to escape before the FIA team arrived.
