Lafangey Parindey fails to shine at Box Office

MUMBAI: Bollywood film 'Lafangey Parindey' under Yash Raj banner failed to hold cine audiences' interest and earned around Rs.10 crore to Rs.11 crore in an
opening weekend with merely 50 per cent occupancy across India.

The movie starring Neil Nitin Mukesh and Deepika Padukone could not make a good start as it earned around Rs.3.5 crore on the opening day across India. Despite a good script and hot artists, the movie was not clicked at the box office.

According to Wave Cinemas, Fun Cinemas and PVR Cinemas, the movie with a good content did not run due to lack of publicity. The hot onscreen pair in the movie could not hold its audience at large manner, what Aamir Khan's production 'Peepli Live' did on the first day.

The movie 'Lafangey Parindey' directed by Pradeep Sarkar is a sensitive love story based on an ambitious blind girl and a street fighter with a never-say-die spirit.
