More rain forecast

 
Scattered thunderstorm, showers with isolated heavy rain are expected over Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, north Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, south Punjab and
southeast Sindh.




Yesterday’s trough of a westerly wave is now moving across Kashmir and adjoining areas.
A well marked seasonal low lies over Balochistan with its trough extends northwards and towards southeast Sindh.
A current from the Arabian sea is penetrating into sub- mountainous areas of Punjab and Kashmir up to 3000 feet.
A monsoon low has formed over off the Orissa Coast and adjoining areas. Rain recorded in the last 24 hours was: Sialkot (airport) 26, Islamabad (Shamsabad 41, airport 36, Zero Point 23, Saidpur 13, Golra 11, Dhamial 10, Bokra 03, Tarbela 17, Astore 07, Lahore (City 07, Upper Mall 06, Airport 01, Misri Shah, Shahi Qilla & Baghbanpura Trace), Mianwali & Zafarwal 05 (each), Shahkergarh & Kotnaina 02 (each), Dratian, Palku, Kohat & Chilas 01 (each), Bunji & Sialkot (Cantt) trace (each).
Scattered to fairly widespread thundershower with isolated heavy rain is expected over Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Northeast Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
The Indus river at Kotri is in very high flood but falling. The Indus at Sukkur is in medium flood and the Indus at Guddu and the Kabul river at Nowshera are in low flood.
