Brad Pitt's kids wants him to play Spider-Man

He may be a Hollywood heartthrob but actor Brad Pitt is not very influential when it comes to his own children, who are in complete awe of the web-slinging superhero, Spider-Man.

Pitt says his children want him to portray the superhero onscreen.

The Troy star, who raises six kids with his partner Angelina Jolie, says their children are all huge fans of Spiderman and would love it if Pitt donned the famous red and blue suit, Contactmusic reported.

"Spider-Man is big in our family. The kids think he's the coolest. If there was one superhero they would want me to play, that would be the one. I'd score big with them," Pitt said at the New York premiere of his new animated movie Megamind.

British actor Andrew Garfield was recently roped as the Marvel character in the upcoming Spider-Man reboot, taking over the role of Peter Parker and his super-powered alter-ego from actor Tobey Maguire.

Pitt, 47 says that he always considers his children opinion while accepting new roles.

"Every role we (me and Angelina) choose now, we choose it for the kids. Will the kids like it? Will they like it when they are young adults? Or is this a good location for the family? That's it. With Megamind hopefully they will think dad's really cool and better than Spider-Man," he added.

Pitt was seen with his two sons Maddox, nine and Pax, six at the premiere, while his other children are currently in Hungary with their mother Jolie who is shooting her directorial debut in the city.
