Recyclable Bloom laptop concept enable eco-friendly computing

    • This Recyclable Bloom Laptop is made by students of Stanford university. We always keep on discarding and changing laptops for better speed and power, which create e-waste problem. This is why students came up with new idea of recyclable laptop. The Bloom laptop can be completely disassembled by hand within 30 seconds, following 10 simple steps presented by students. Whereas, a traditional laptop requires three tools, up to 120 steps, and takes about 45 minutes. So its mean Bloom laptop makes it easy to upgrade laptop at home without any technical difficulty, which can lead us to less money saving and most of all more eco-friendly by using single device for a long time. Further more, you will not require to stick with laptop screen all the time, it enables you to sit relax with keypad at distance by just swap keypad from laptop. Have a look at video below to understand the idea completely.

The ME310 students won Autodesk’s Inventor of the Month award for this October. They were assisted in the Bloom project by students from Aalto University in Finland. I hope the mass production will start soon after finalizing design.
