Deepika turns 25 on January 5

Bollywood glamour icon Deepika Padukone will turn 25 on Jan 5. Here are some of the fun facts about the sizzling B-town actress.

Deepika caught the attention of everyone in her debut Bollywood film named ‘Om Shanti Om’ in 2007, opposite SRK, but she made her entry in the world of films with a Kannada movie titled ‘Aishwarya’ in 2006. 

Following the footsteps of her father, iconic Indian badminton player, Prakash Padukone, she also played the game till tenth standard but then shifted her attention towards modelling. 

Although it is her acting skills that makes news these days, Deepika started her journey into the glamour world as a model and was quite successful as model as well. 

She was awarded the title "Model of the Year" at the fifth annual ‘Kingfisher Fashion Awards’. 

She was also chosen as one of the models for the Kingfisher Swimsuit Calendar for
2006. 

Deepika’s list of favourite B-town heroines include the names like Aishwarya Rai, Kajol, Madhuri Dixit and Sri Devi.
