Raymond Davis: Petition filed in SC to stop handover

A petition, requesting the Supreme Court (SC) to halt the possible handover of US national Raymond Davis to Washington, was filed on Monday.
The petition was filed by Barrister Zafrullah.
The petitioner maintained that the accused was responsible for the murder of Pakistani nationals. He, therefore, should not be given any kind of immunity, the petitioner added.
The US national Raymond Davis shot dead two locals in Lahore on January 27. He was later charged with dual murder and sent to 6-days physical remand.

Meanwhile, the US embassy in Islamabad demanded the immediate release of Davis.
