Salman ‘Dabangg’ Khan on an all time career high

The Box Office success of ‘Dabangg’ and the huge popularity of ‘Bigg Boss 4’ gave a new impetus to Salman Khan’s Bollywood innings.
Buzz has it that Salman has not only hired a brand manager but also become money wise and got himself rid of all distractions in form of women and sycophants.
Undoubtedly, Salman is enjoying the best phase of his career. Talking about the transformation of Salman Khan, Bollywood producer and close friend of the actor Sajid Nadiawala said that Salman has finally managed to
get rid of negative image and bad press. Sajid of Sajid-Wajid echoes Nadiawala saying, “There are no brains driving him, it is just Salman bhai all the way.
Salman wanted to make ‘Dabangg’ work for Arbaaz. And he took charge of the film like the dutiful elder brother.” It was this time around when Salman started getting rid of sycophants.
“When he got into TV, Salman realised he needed better brains to drive a better deal for him. All his peers were minting money on TV and Salman, who realised he had a fantastic connect with his TV audience, was determined to milk it,” says an industry insider.
Post ‘Dabangg’, Salman’s winning streak continued with ‘Bigg Boss 4’. According to Ashvini Yardi, programming head of the channel airing ‘Bigg Boss’, “Salman`s persona appeals to both the classes and the masses. His unique sense of humour, spontaneity and ability to connect with everyone and his ‘Dabangg’ attitude took ‘Bigg Boss’ to new heights this season.”
Apparently, there is a pattern in Salman`s choice of flicks, “He knows the audiences no longer accept him in soft, romantic roles. ‘Tere Naam’, ‘Wanted’, ‘Dabangg’ have convinced him that the way to the box office is by picking up hit southern-style, male-oriented films and customise them according to his image,” said the source.
Insiders believe that Salman is now concentrating only on projects driven by his household, right from Arbaaz, Sohail and Alvira, so that he has the final call on everything.
