The deceased include at least ten women, according to Irrigation Department.
The private wooden boat was rescuing the flood-stranded people in catchments area, when it turned over owing to huge pace of
floodwater.
The boat could not maintained its balance between Larkana’s catchments area and Nusrat Loop Bund and all 30 people on board were swept away by the fierce flood waves.
According to eyewitnesses, all the deceased were forced away adrift fast-paced floodwater.
It should be mentioned here that thousands of people are still stranded in Larkana’s catchments areas and trying to relocate to safer places on self-help basis.
Also, at least 30 people were drowned yesterday, when their boat capsized; however, they were rescued in time by the rescue teams.
