The film revolves around the story of a nurse married (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) and the patient paraplegic, wheelchair-using (Hrithik Roshan), who suffer from impairment of motor and sensory functions of the lower extremities, with whom she love. The first schedule of the film began in July 2009.

It has been reported that both Hrithik and Aishwarya sing a song for the movie together. The song will be recorded by itself Bhansali. This is not the first time that Hrithik sing for a movie. He has already sung a song in his next film Kites, which is gaining much attention nowadays. It says that now is going to sing a song for her upcoming film release, Comets. The couple are said to be learning Portuguese for the movie too.

Aishwariya Rai Bachchan has previously worked with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in two successful films, Hum Dil De Chuka Sanam (1999) and Devdas. Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has starred in two films together, Dhoom 2 and Jodhaa Akbar, which were successful. They are both known for showing incredible chemistry on screen.
